Places to visit
The Agriturismo Fattoria Nerbona is located between CASOLE D’ELSA (5 minutes driving – 1 hour walking) and COLLE DI VAL D’ELSA (10 minutes driving – 1 hour and 40 minutes walking), two beautiful villages that worth visiting.
In Casole d’Elsa you can find restaurants, bank, post office and small groceries.
In Colle di Val d’Elsa you can find a bus stop that connects the town to Siena, Firenze and Poggibonsi (the closest train station). It also has supermarkets and of course restaurants.
Close to us there is MENSANO (10 minutes far), a small, forgotten and enchanted village, remote for most people but got under the skin who’s visited it. From there, you will admire one of our most beautiful landscapes of our area.

15 minutes away, there is SAN GIMIGNANO, famous for its towers. It’s also declared a World Heritage site.

20 minutes away, you can find MONTERIGGIONI, a beautiful medieval fortress where is also possible to walk along the walls and admire the surrounding landscape.

30 minutes away, SIENA, also declared a World Heritage site and famous for the “Palio di Siena” (on 2nd July and 16th August).

40 minutes far, there is VOLTERRA, very important medieval village for the Etruscans reports and for a unique craft in the world: the alabaster.

40 minutes away is also possible to reach another charmed place for young and old, SAN GALGANO.

Just a few meters away, going up the hill, is possible to reach the HERMITAGE OF MONTE SIEPI (Eremo di Monte Siepi), where there is the Sword in the Stone.
The Sword in the Stone was set in 1180 by San Galgano on a stone in the centre where today the Hermitage of Montesiepi is located.
